I love school supplies. They are addictive. Marty and I find ourselves wandering the aisles of Wal-Mart, Target, grocery stores, and office supply stores looking at the latest and greatest in supplies but also the tried and true ones. We’ve been anticipating school supply season all school year. And the School Supplies I Must Have are:
Rea calls them “crowns”. Y’all, we are southern. She gets it honest too. You can never have too many crayons around the house. We have boxes in the cars, in their rooms, in the school room, and they roll all over. Not only are they great for coloring and traveling, they are perfect for crafts.
These pencils are the “mack-daddy” in the pencil world. I am serious. The lead holds up well to my crazy bees who think it’s okay to used an excessive amount of pressure to write (well the girls do). So if you are looking for ones that don’t break easy and are worth their value, pick up a pack or two.
Elmer’s Glue Sticks.
I do love the old fashioned glue bottle but when it comes to traveling and homeschooling, we love glue sticks. They are compact enough to fit in my purse if need be. They are great when you want your papers or projects held together and they are toddler destruction proof.
A laminating machine made my list of “School Supplies I Must Have” because they are just cool. I love being able to laminate an alphabet or vocabulary sheet for the younger two. It also helps when I teach cursive writing. You can find them fairly cheap in Wal-Mart, Target, and on Amazon.
