We are an adventurous family of 5, experiencing the world around us!
Marty is Dad! He is the logistical king of our trips. I come up with a road trip and he details it out. He also gets us there safely and is the best all around.
Stacy (that’s me) is Mom and blogger! I usually come up with the crazy trip ideas and get them booked.
Bubba is our oldest and only boy! He rocks as a brother and is up for all our adventures.
Rea is our middle child. She loves to write about our adventures and thinks our camper is her doll house.
KB is our baby and full of spunk. She likes to hike but often wants a ride on our shoulders!
Meet Rocky! She’s been with us since April 2016. She is a 2016 Coachmen Clipper 1285SST. We’ve put 20k miles on her already.
You’re a family of 5, why a pop-up camper? Years ago we owned a 26 foot travel trailer. It was great but then the fuel prices surged to $4.00 a gallon and it wasn’t smart to keep her. So we sold that RV and bought a boat. But why? We were in D.C. (March 2016) for the Cherry Blossom Festival. I made a comment to Marty about having an RV for our trips to Miami to see family. This pop up appeared at a dealership and we were able to negotiate a really good deal. This RV is 21 feet long with the 3 slides out. It fits perfect under the tropical shade trees at my mother-in-law’s house in Miami. If we had anything bigger, it wouldn’t work. As for vacations, we’ve done 2 cross country road trips (one to Mount Rushmore and one to Yellowstone/the Big 5 in Utah), 1 trip to Cocoa Beach, and 3 trips to Miami.
