Happiness is Finding Your Purpose.
I am sitting in the barbershop with my son and two daughters as I type this. It has been a long day and the struggle to be happy has been exhausting. The ups and downs of life have gotten to me. And it shows. Marty has been extremely busy with work and that has been weighing heavily on me. I feel like I am a married – “single” – parent. I am not of course and would never take the hard work of being a single parent away, but I am starting to struggle.
I sat down today around lunch time and sent Marty a message. “I just want to travel (constantly) with Marty and blog about it while making the family income we do!” Is that so hard? Right now, it is very hard. Marty’s response was funny – “I am not sure how we can harness that but we can try!” Aaahh. My dream of working together while traveling may actually come to life.
Fast forward to now. The barber shop is practically empty. It’s almost closing time. The Latin music keeps my hips secretly moving in as I wait. The idea of working with Marty full-time is exciting. I decided to run with it. I know I will need to build up an audience and find a way for income to flow in. I have decided to use the power of social media to help me. It will take time and I am okay with that.
