Happiness is Dirty Dancing with Trump and Clinton!! This is just too good not to share. It’s from the 2nd Presidential Debate. And since Dirty Dancing is one of my favorite movies, this made me laugh. Check it out then read my take on the whole issue below.
I don’t like to comment on political issues because everyone has an opinion and these days everyone is offended. However, here is my take. First off, this video is too funny. If y’all can’t laugh from whatever party side you are on, then you are taking life too seriously. “So I’ll tell you something…”
Marty is a first generation American. He joined the military in 2000. Yeah, BEFORE 9/11 and the war(s) that came after. He’s been to Afghanistan and Iraq more times than I have fingers. That was in the first 10 years of our marriage. He has seen the other side. Since he left the military 4 years ago, we both started traveling more. You see the world in a different light when you have an open mind.
When it comes to this election, vote for who you feel is best qualified. Do not go off of the media. They are only out to line their pockets. So if a scandal will sell, they will sell it hard. Do some research. Google them. Don’t do vague searches, really look for what they have done in the careers. You can search the Roll Call Votes for various candidates (not just the presidential ones). Fact Check. However, the media has ratings to gain and money to make. It’s much like tv and movies – sex sells.
As for those who are saying we will be worse off if one or the other wins. Let me remind you of something (or two or three), YOU POOP IN CLEAN WATER. Seriously. If you had to drink the water out of the toilet bowl (without any urine/feces in it), you could and would be fine. Think about that.
You can go on a rant on social media about the Presidential Candidates and will live to see another day and won’t end up in jail.
We live in a great country! We really do! Does it have it’s problems? Yes. Are they world ending? No. While we may have dipped in some areas and can’t seem to get our crap together in others, we are still the best country to live in in the world! Regardless of who makes it into the White House, we will still be the best country to live in in the world. And if you don’t think that, then maybe you should take up residence somewhere else. Oh yeah, being an ex-pat isn’t easy nor for everyone. *Side note- I miss Patrick Swayze.
