Camper Packing Methods …. Making It All Fit!
Packing our camper is always left up to Marty. He has a way of making all the little and large things we bring just FIT. I am not the best when it comes to the organizational aspect of our camper so I will always find a way to avoid it. Then this happened…
These bins were all Wal-Mart for $8.97. You’ve seen them or maybe you have used them before. Marty thought my idea of separating all the kids clothes by bin wasn’t a bad idea and went along with it. So in to Wal-Mart (the dreaded money sucker that it is) and picked up two. We packed each bee in a drawer. This trip is about 5 days so it wasn’t hard to make the clothes fit. Had we been on our past trip to South Dakota, I am not sure we could have fit it all in one drawer.
With the bees are packed away in one 3-drawer cart thing, Marty and I started working on our clothes. We have an insane competitive streak within us that makes all things a competition. He didn’t think I could pack all my clothes into one drawer. Of course I would not be beat and I put them all in the very top drawer with his underwear and our swimsuits.
As of now, this set up is working for us. We placed them in the back of our truck while we traveled and then placed them in the camper when we set up “home”. I must admit the sliding drawers is easier with the kids. Plus we brought our furry dog this time and her fur isn’t getting on the outfits.
How do you travel with your clothes? Do you have an rv/camper or are you a tent person? Sometimes, I am just a hotel kind of girl!
